Good to hear from you. Thanks for writing and thanks for using my work as a topic.

The "spirited discussion" you mentioned in your mail was exactly the intent of my writing. I hope it would get thinking people (obviously your group) into reflecting what they might have done in the same situation.

I hope you guys don't hate me, but I got a lot of mail on that piece, and I've just told everyone to decide for themselves what they would do.

IPAD Help

We are starting an "MCAS bootcamp" next week to help prepare students to improve their scores from Needs Improvement to Proficient.  My job as a learning specialist is help those students with accomodations, such as read alouds, or to provide individual help with problem areas that the classroom teacher would be unable to do. 

I have an idea to help the students with the aid of an IPAD.  My intention is when there is a trouble area to show a Khan Academy video as a primer before I work individually with the student.  This will serve as a refresher for the student and allows us to zero in on the problem area.  I would love to use the IPAD as an drawing board vs paper but don't know how to do that.
